Organisation Users & Groups

Organisation wide control of user groups.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

RePro Organisations contain the all the users invited to the organisation, whether they were invited directly from the organisation or at a project level - they will appear as an organisation user.

RePro projects contain users from the organisation which are added to the project and then can be assigned to Project Groups. The groups are part of the flexible assignment of Programs (streams) > Channels > Users (within groups).

If you are running a lot of projects, with repetitive groups of users then RePro's 'Org User Groups' will make this a lot easier.

Org groups:

  • Allow you to create multiple groups of any Organisation users.

  • The groups can be made available to any individual or all projects.

  • When Project Admins and Managers are creating a new group they will have access to bring in an Organisation Group (if available to the project) in two ways..

    • When creating a new Standard User Group they will get the option to source the users from an available Org Group. This will create a new standard group with initial user allocation of the current Org Group.

    • Or create a Mirror Group - the new project group won't be able to have user allocation edited - it will continue to follow any edit of user allocation and the Org Group level.

Benefits of each kind of Org Group derived Project Group creation:

Standard Group Creation from an Org Group

A great way to create a new project group that you intend to edit manually in the project as you go but saves you adding all the usual base users you wish the project to have. Ongoing edits can be made at the project level.

Mirror Group Creation from an Org Group

For use cases where you have an ever changing team at the organisational level and you want these changes to be mirrored across one more multiple projects. For example a team of executives or technical/engineering team that are applied to many projects - edit the team at the organisation level and the changes will reflect throughout every project that has the Org Group as a Mirror Group.
