Management Lockout is a security feature in RePro designed to protect sensitive administrative access at the organization level. It helps prevent unauthorized access in situations where a device is left unattended, lost, or otherwise compromised.
What Is Management Lockout?
When enabled, Management Lockout enforces a session timeout policy for users who have access to manage your RePro Organization and its Projects. After a set period of inactivity, the user is automatically signed out and must re-authenticate to regain access.
This ensures that key administrative capabilities—such as managing projects, security settings, and user permissions—are only accessible to active, verified users, even on shared or potentially vulnerable devices.
How It Works
Organization admins can enforce Management Lockout across all users within the organization.
A timeout duration can be set (e.g., 1 minute, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour etc).
If a user’s session remains inactive beyond this threshold, they are automatically logged out.
Re-authentication (e.g., password, SSO, or MFA) is required to continue.
Users are warned when the lockout is about happen so they can avoid needing to re-authorise.
Key Benefits
Prevents accidental or malicious changes from unattended devices.
Protects sensitive project and organizational configurations.
Adds an additional layer of security for laptops or desktops that are lost or left open.
Enabling Management Lockout
Go to the Organisation Settings section in the RePro web management interface.
Under Security, locate Organisation Auto-Lock Settings.
Toggle it on and set the desired inactivity timeout duration.
Save the changes. The policy will take effect for all management users in the organization.
