Integrating AJA and Blackmagic Hardware with RePro Connect

RePro Connect supports direct integration with professional video I/O devices from AJA and Blackmagic Design, enabling high-quality HDMI and SDI signal capture for live streaming workflows.

Supported Devices

AJA:

  • U-TAP HDMI / SDI: USB 3.0 capture devices presenting HDMI or SDI inputs as webcam-compatible sources.

  • Io 4K Plus: Thunderbolt-connected I/O device supporting up to 4K resolution.

  • KONA Series: PCIe capture cards offering high-performance video and audio I/O.

Blackmagic Design:

  • DeckLink Series: PCIe capture and playback cards with SDI and HDMI support.

  • UltraStudio Series: Thunderbolt-connected devices for professional video capture.

  • Web Presenter HD: Streaming encoder with USB webcam output functionality.

Setup Guide

1. Connect Your Hardware

  • AJA Devices: Connect via USB or Thunderbolt as per device specifications.

  • Blackmagic Devices: Install the latest Desktop Video drivers from Blackmagic Support and connect via appropriate interfaces.

2. Configure RePro Connect

  1. Launch RePro Connect.

  2. In the Sources panel, click the + button and select:

    • Video Capture Device for AJA U-TAP or Blackmagic Web Presenter.

    • Blackmagic Device for DeckLink or UltraStudio series.

  3. Choose your connected device from the dropdown list.

  4. Adjust resolution and frame rate settings as needed.

  5. Click OK to add the source.

3. Streaming Configuration

  1. Navigate to Settings β†’ Input SRT URL.

  2. Enter your full SRT URL from RePro in the Server field.

  3. Click OK to save settings.

4. Start Streaming

  • Click Start Streaming to begin your live broadcast.

Notes

  • Ensure your system meets the necessary performance requirements for high-resolution streaming.

  • For color-critical workflows, consider applying a LUT to match your output gamma settings.
