The Kiloview P3 encoder is designed to be mobile and versatile across networks. It works a little differently than most other encoders in that even if not bonding multiple networks you still need to set up a bonded connection to a Kiloview Pro server (free self hosted solution). If you can not set up your own Kiloview KiloLink server please get in touch and we can discuss this as an additional service.
Please read the Kiloview P3 User Manual and the Kiloview KiloLink Server Pro manual.
Once you have your KiloLink Server Pro invite details as described in the above documentation, you enter it into the Bonding settings are of the P3. Once this has been entered it will take around 2 to 5 minutes to show up in the KiloLink Server's Devices page. Once it is online with the server the P3 can be completely controlled remotely.
One setting is the onward SRT settings into RePro Stream which is the key are this guide will focus on.
The SRT settings are not availabel from the 'web interface' of the P3. The web interface is where you click on the device name directly in the left devices list. The resulting web interface direct from the device does not allow the onward SRT connection.
To get to the SRT you need to select the 'All' or group name that the device is in.
Then in the resulting list use the left dropdown to get to expand out into the device stats.
Click the thumbnail in the stats or click the 'Check More' link in the 'Streaming Server' section.
In the resulting sidepanel you will see the list of streaming services. Click the 'Add Stream Service' to create a new SRT connection into RePro Stream.
Set the Protocol to SRT, when the fields update you will now see there is 'Mode' which will need to be changed to 'Caller' to call into RePro Stream. You now need to fill out the Public Address, listener port, latency settings with information found in the
RePro Stream program 'Input' settings.
For encrypted SRT you will need to 'Enable' the 'Advanced Settings', and enter the Encryption mode as follows
Table of key length
Then enter the AES key.
This section is work in progress - please check back for an update soon.....
