Overview
Platform access restrictions is a feature in every user group that allows you to choose what software the users of that group are restricted to for viewing on.
Where is it set?
When you have a project you either create custom groups of users or just have the project default 'All Project Users' group.
Within the Group settings you can choose the platform the group gets to view on.
How It Works in RePro
If the All Project Users group has the platform enabled then then all users will be able to use it for viewing.
If the All Project Users Group has all viewing platforms disabled then only users in groups that have it enabled will be able to view on that software viewer.
Benefits
Choose who views on what client viewer.
Create specific groups for specific platform access.
iOS can be forced on groups of users for enhanced security.
ℹ️ Additive permissions for platform access are specific to only the users in that group but also importantly only the channels set in that group.
For example:
Users A and B are in Group 1 and that has access to iOS and tvOS platforms viewers only.
But user B is also in Group 2 that does have access to Web viewer enabled.
The All Project Users Group has all platforms disabled to give full granular control to the custom made groups.
User A would get access to view on iOS and tvOS only
User B would get access to view on iOS, tvOS and Web players.
