Project Dashboard

A visual overview of your entire project structure showing how programs, channels, groups and users connect, with real-time status indicators.

Updated today

The Project Dashboard provides administrators with a complete, at-a-glance view of their entire project structure. Managing complex projects with multiple channels, programs and users can be overwhelming—the Dashboard simplifies administration by mapping relationships and providing immediate visual feedback on project status.

Understanding the Project Map

The Dashboard maps how your project elements relate to each other across four levels:

  • Programs – your video streams and their connection status

  • Channels – groups of programs organised by production unit, location, or purpose

  • Groups – collections of users with access to specific channels

  • Users – project members and their viewing permissions

This visual structure makes it easy to understand who has access to what content and how everything flows through your project.

Status Indicators

The Dashboard uses colour-coded indicators to show the state of your programs and channels at a glance:

  • Green – Program is actively streaming and connected

  • Red – Program is offline or inactive

  • Amber – Channel contains a mix of active and inactive programs

These traffic light indicators give you immediate visual feedback without needing to check individual programs or channels.

Interactive Hover Features

Hover over any element in the Dashboard to highlight its relationships:

  1. Hover over a User – highlights all channels and programs they can access

  2. Hover over a Channel – reveals associated users and programs

  3. Hover over a Program – shows all connected channels and users

This interactive highlighting makes complex relationships instantly clear, helping you quickly verify permissions and troubleshoot access issues.

Advanced Filtering

For complex projects with many stakeholders, the Dashboard includes advanced filtering options:

  1. Click the filter icon at the top of the Dashboard.

  2. Choose which elements to show or hide.

  3. Your filter preferences are saved for your next visit.

Filtering is particularly valuable when working with large projects where you need to focus on specific sections or troubleshoot particular user access.

Accessing the Dashboard

To view your Project Dashboard:

  1. Navigate to your Project section using the section switcher at the top of the left menu.

  2. Click Dashboard (the top menu item with a grid icon).

  3. The Dashboard loads, showing your complete project structure.

The Project Dashboard helps you:

  • Quickly verify project structure and user permissions

  • Identify connection issues with instant status indicators
